Lives & works in Atlanta, GA.
Zoya Aly is a muralist and multidisciplinary artist whose work transforms everyday spaces into vibrant visual stories rooted in nostalgia, culture, and community. A Studio Art graduate of Georgia State University, she creates art that evokes childhood wonder and invites people of all ages to reconnect with joyful memories through color, pattern, and storytelling.
Drawing on her multicultural upbringing and a lifelong love of global artistic traditions, Zoya's work celebrates what connects us as people while honoring the distinct beauty of the cultures she draws from. Her signature style blends bold, contemporary design with intricate hand-drawn detail inspired by henna, textile arts, and folk traditions — creating pieces that feel both timeless and modern, familiar and new.
What sets Zoya apart is her range: no surface or scale is off-limits. She paints murals spanning entire building facades, and just as happily works on a canvas small enough to hold in one hand. Her hand-drawn detail work extends beyond the wall, too — she creates intricate henna designs and body paint, bringing the same storytelling and pattern-work that defines her murals directly onto skin. Whether it's a sprawling public wall, a canvas made for a nursery, or an intricate henna design for a bride, Zoya approaches every surface — huge or tiny, wall or skin — with the same care and creative spirit.
Working across large-scale murals, acrylic painting, mixed media, illustration, henna, body paint, and digital design, Zoya believes art has the power to bring people together. Each project is an opportunity to create a sense of belonging, whether it's transforming an ordinary space into a landmark or adorning a person for their most meaningful moments.
